SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joseph W. Mancewicz, who passed away on February 26, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Mancewicz was born on December 29, 1942 in Litchfield; his parents were Joseph C. and Leona Pernicka; he married Alice Sievers on March 7, 1964 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Staunton; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Mancewicz retired as a State Trooper with the Illinois State Police after many years of service; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Mancewicz was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Mancewicz was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, William and Louise Hubert; his in-laws, Charles and Leona Sievers; and his brother-in-law, Rodney Cruthis; and

WHEREAS, Joseph Mancewicz is survived by his wife, Alice; his sons, Michael J. Mancewicz (fiancee, Nancy Hampton) and Mark A. (Lisa) Mancewicz; his grandchildren, Joseph C. Mancewicz, Jacob M. Mancewicz, Brooke D. Valenti, and Matthew C. Mancewicz; his sisters, Marie Walls, Julia Pernicka, and Barbara Jean Wisnasky; his brother, Richard Mancewicz, and his sisters-in-law, Leona Sievers and Evelyn Cruthis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Joseph W. Mancewicz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joseph Mancewicz as an expression of our sympathy.
