SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Anna E. Anderson of Crystal Lake, who passed away on January 6, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Anna Anderson was born in Wapella on March 21, 1927 to Beacher and Nancy Nichols; and

WHEREAS, Anna Anderson married Ted McMannis and settled in Rockford and had a daughter, Teddy Ann; she later married Robert Anderson; they lived in Crystal Lake and had Cindi and Robert, Jr.; and

WHEREAS, Anna Anderson's daughter, Teddy Ann, married Ken Roby and together they had Anna's 4 grandsons, Kelly, Chad, Brandon, and Aaron; Aaron married Stacey Caster and together they have Anna's 2 great-grandchildren, Easton and Morgan; these grandchildren and great-grandchildren made Anna very proud and brought her much joy; and

WHEREAS, Anna Anderson lived in Crystal Lake for 50 years; she worked at Precision Twist Drill and later Oak Industries; in retirement, she ran a home-based childcare business and became the surrogate grandmother to several families; and

WHEREAS, Anna Anderson was an active member of First United Methodist Church; she was in the same Bible study group for 30 years; she participated in the church's prison ministry and was a frequent volunteer for McHenry County PADS; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Anna E. Anderson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anna Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
