SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ann Panico, who passed away on February 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Ann Panico was born in Chicago on July 6, 1926; she later moved to Berwyn and lived in Green Oaks for the past 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Ann Panico was the founder and owner of Cafe Pomigliano "Trattoria" in Libertyville, where she was known for her homemade recipes; and

WHEREAS, Ann Panico was a member of St. Joseph Parish in Libertyville; and

WHEREAS, Ann Panico was preceded in death by her husband, Patsy; and

WHEREAS, Ann Panico is survived by her 2 children, Patty (Nick) Saladino and Anthony (Deanna) Panico; her 7 grandchildren, Ann Marie (Marc) Grote, Danielle (Jason) Wegener, Matea Ann Panico, Pasquale A. Panico, Santino Panico, Michael Panico, and Dominic Panico; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Vincent, Nicholas, and Anthony; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ann Panico, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ann Panico as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
