SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Thomas P. Mortimer of McHenry, who passed
4away on January 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Mortimer was born on February 26, 1940 in
6Chicago; his parents were Howard and Margaret Mortimer; he
7married Peggy Flowers on October 1, 1964; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Thomas Mortimer was employed in auto sales for 51
9years; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Thomas Mortimer had a passion for selling cars and
11restoring old cars and was a monster Chicago Bears fan; he also
12loved spending time with his friends, family, grandchildren,
13and great-grandchildren; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Thomas Mortimer was preceded in death by his
15parents; his son-in-law, Douglas Perrone; and his
16great-granddaughter, Savannah Boone; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Thomas Mortimer is survived by his wife, Peggy;
18his daughter, Susan (Steve) Kuhn; his grandchildren, Candice
19(Daniel) Boone, Melissa Broker, and Amanda Perrone; his
20great-grandchildren, Gwyneth Broker, Sarah Boone, Leah Broker,

1Rebecca Boone, Blake Perrone, Danny Boone, and Ashlyn Perrone;
2his brother and sister, Rosemary (Richard) Lytle and Howard
3(Rosemary) Mortimer; and his many nieces and nephews;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Thomas P. Mortimer;
8and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Thomas Mortimer as an expression of
11our sympathy.
