SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Stanley Joseph Pankiewicz, who passed away on December 21, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz was born on November 3, 1929 in Chicago; his parents were Stanley Joseph and Clara (nee Stolman) Pankiewicz; he married Elaine Freund in 1964; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz attended Charles Schurz High School and joined the United States Navy at the age of 17; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz worked for Community Auto in McHenry for 25 years before retiring in 1994; in the early years, he owned his own gas station and had his pilot's license; and

WHEREAS, As a lifelong McHenry resident, Stanley Pankiewicz was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and a former member of the McHenry Moose Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz enjoyed woodworking and making trinkets for his family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Clara; his daughter, Susan Tecchio; and his sisters, Shirley Starzak and Lenore Cicero; and

WHEREAS, Stanley Pankiewicz is survived by his wife, Elaine; his children, Ron (Sue) Miller, Tom Miller, Cindy (Rich) Holtz, Dave (Penny) Miller, Tim Pankiewicz, Jeff Pankiewicz, Rick (Katie) Pankiewicz. Stan Pankiewicz, III, Lee (Kathy) Pankiewicz, and Sherry (Michael) Manning; his grandchildren, Jamie (Nathan) Daugherty, Steve (Shannon) Holtz, Jeff (Erin) Miller, Melissa (Kevin) Klean, Lindsey Miller, Ashley Miller, Trevor Pankiewicz, Kalei Pankiewicz, Emily Pankiewicz, Allison Pankiewicz, William Pankiewicz, Theresa (Ryan) Reiche, Michael (Mollie) Pankiewicz, Kayla Pankiewicz, Kaitlyn Pankiewicz, Derrick Manning, Brice Manning, Kane Manning, Sidney Manning, Randy Wrobel, and Patrick (Amy) Tecchio; and his 15 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Stanley Joseph Pankiewicz; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Stanley Pankiewicz as an expression of our sympathy.
