SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Catherine A. Smith of Highwood, who passed away on January 15, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Smith was born in Wilmette to John W. and Anna (nee Laubach) Schaefer on April 12, 1919; and

WHEREAS, Catherine Smith was the beloved wife of the late Robert T. Smith; the loving mother of Robert J. (Susan) Smith; the fond grandmother of James Smith, DeAnn (Thomas) Kaesler, Joseph (Tina) Smith, and Tracey (David) Fontana; and the great-grandmother of 9; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Catherine A. Smith, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Catherine Smith as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
