SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert L. "Bob" Foerster of Woodstock,
4who passed away on December 28, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Foerster was born to John and Alberta
6"Able" Foerster on May 30, 1934; he married LaVerne Bornhoff on
7May 12, 1956 in Northbrook; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Foerster's first passion was farming, and,
9in 1963, he moved his family to Walnut Ridge Farm in Woodstock;
10in 1976, he changed careers and became an independent
11over-the-road trucker; he retired in 1993 and returned to his
12first love, farming, by working at Harms Farm; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Robert Foerster was a member of St. John's
14Lutheran church in Woodstock; he and his wife enjoyed a full
15life together, traveling in their motorhome, crisscrossing the
16country and going into Canada and Alaska, making many friends
17along the way; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Foerster was preceded in death by his
19parents; his brother, John; and his in-laws, Harold and Alice
20Bornhoff; and

1    WHEREAS, Robert Foerster is survived by his wife, LaVerne;
2his children, Jeffery (Marla) Foerster, Richard (Laure)
3Foerster, and Cynthia (David) Huff-Kasischke; his
4grandchildren, Benjamin (Sylvia) Foerster, Meghan (Brian)
5Laine, Timothy (Gail) Foerster, Kevin (Emily) Foerster,
6Rebeckah (Jarrad) Webster, and Jessica Huff; and his 6
7great-grandchildren, with one on the way; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Robert L. "Bob" Foerster, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Robert Foerster as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
