SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Daniel V. Capuano, C.F.D., who passed away on December 14, 2015 at the age of 42; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Capuano was a 15-year veteran with the Chicago Fire Department and a member of the Evergreen Park Fire Department for over 16 years; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Capuano heroically lost his life as he was searching for people while battling a fire in a vacant warehouse in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Daniel Capuano was the beloved husband and best friend of Julie (nee Hauser); the devoted father of Amanda, Andrew, and Nicholas; the loving son of Michael and Jacquelyn (nee Tassone); the dearest brother of Michael (Katherine) and Patrick (Nicolette) Capuano; the dearest son-in-law of Ronald and Jeanne Hauser; the fond brother-in-law of Robert (Nicole) Hauser and Amy (Jeremy) Bolen; the proud uncle of Alissa, Isabella, Delilah, Bodhi, Lucas, Madison, Hannah, Jacob, Joshua, Joseph, and Justin; he is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and his dog, Paco; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Daniel V. Capuano, C.F.D., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Daniel Capuano as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
