SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marilyn J. Hanzel of Waukegan, who passed
4away on December 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hanzel was born on July 12, 1929 in
6Waukegan and was a lifelong resident; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hanzel retired from Waukegan Public
8School District #60 in 2001 after 20 years of service; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hanzel was a longtime member of St.
10Anastasia Parish; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hanzel was preceded in death by her
12husband, Lawrence Hanzel; her son, Christopher Hanzel; her
13parents, William Kendall and Cecelia Irene Crawford; her
14brother-in-law, Frank Hough; her sister and brothers-in-law,
15Elaine and Frank DeGrazia and William Hanzel; and her
16parents-in-law, Leo and Helen Hanzel; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Marilyn Hanzel is survived by her children, Laurie
18(Don) Lindskog, Richard (Debra) Hanzel, Steven Hanzel, and Mary
19Jo (John) Fortin; her grandchildren, Derek Lindskog (Jenny
20Beorkrem), Sarah (Nate) Swartzendruber, Eric Hanzel (Ali

1Maffey), Justin Hanzel (Brynn Jakaitis), Adam Hanzel (Maria
2Ortiz), Lauren Hanzel, Amanda Hanzel, Bradley Hanzel, Joseph
3Diesi, Hannah Diesi, and Jillian Fortin; her
4great-granddaughters, Lucy and Eleanor Swartzendruber; her
5sisters, Joan (Glen) Johnson and Carol Hough; her
6brother-in-law, Richard W. Hanzel; and her many nieces and
7nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Marilyn J. Hanzel; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Marilyn Hanzel as an expression of
14our sympathy.
