SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sharlene Fay Bruhn of Gillespie, who passed away on December 24, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sharlene Bruhn was born on September 15, 1935 in Wyandotte, Michigan; her parents were Louis H. Long and Dorothy Keisel Long Danay; she married William C. Bruhn in Larado, Texas; and

WHEREAS, Sharlene Bruhn was a Certified Nurse Assistant for St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield for many years; and

WHEREAS, Sharlene Bruhn was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4547 Ladies Auxiliary; and

WHEREAS, Sharlene Bruhn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; and her brother, Ronald "Joe" Long; and

WHEREAS, Sharlene Bruhn is survived by her sons, Curt (Nyla) Bruhn, Michael Bruhn, and William J. (Vickie) Bruhn, Sr.; her grandchildren, Matthew Bruhn, Ryan Bruhn, Seth Bruhn, William J. Bruhn, Jr, Rachel Bruhn, Jennifer Adams, Kevin Archibald, and Lena Archibald; her 10 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Melba Fogelman Bangert, Cindy Saracco, and Gilbert Wilde; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Sharlene Fay Bruhn; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sharlene Bruhn as an expression of our sympathy.
