SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tim Stetenfeld; and

WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was an award-winning financial advisor with the Plainfield office of Edward Jones Investments, the household-oriented retirement planning and investment services firm, from 2004 to 2015; he was a recipient of the Ovation to Business Award from former Illinois State Representative Tom Cross and his Business Advisory Committee in June of 2012; Mr. Stetenfeld and Edward Jones Investments were also the presenters of Plainfield's Concerts in the Park, the free music and concert program at Settlers Park in Plainfield; and

WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a board member and past chairman of the board of the Plainfield Area Chamber of Commerce; he also served as chairperson of the Plainfield Advisory Task Force on Economic Development, which advises the Village of Plainfield on growth and planning issues; and

WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a fundraising organizer and co-chairman of the Greater Joliet Area YMCA's Giving Gala, a Will County-oriented annual community event that provides help for persons and families seeking financial access to local YMCA programs; the 2014 Giving Gala, co-led by Mr. Stetenfeld, notched a 37% increase in proceeds from the 2013 Gala; the next Giving Gala is scheduled for February 28, 2015, at the Bolingbrook Golf Club; and

WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld served as president of the Plainfield Kiwanis Club in 2008; he was also a senior member of the Plainfield Rotary Club and a parishioner and Eucharistic minister at St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield; and

WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld is survived by his wife, Cathy Stetenfeld; his mother, Arlene Stetenfeld; and 2 siblings, Ernie Stetenfeld, III and Sandi Stetenfeld Diana; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Tim Stetenfeld; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tim Stetenfeld as an expression of our sympathy.
