SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Tim Stetenfeld; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was an award-winning financial
5advisor with the Plainfield office of Edward Jones Investments,
6the household-oriented retirement planning and investment
7services firm, from 2004 to 2015; he was a recipient of the
8Ovation to Business Award from former Illinois State
9Representative Tom Cross and his Business Advisory Committee in
10June of 2012; Mr. Stetenfeld and Edward Jones Investments were
11also the presenters of Plainfield's Concerts in the Park, the
12free music and concert program at Settlers Park in Plainfield;
13and
 
14    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a board member and past
15chairman of the board of the Plainfield Area Chamber of
16Commerce; he also served as chairperson of the Plainfield
17Advisory Task Force on Economic Development, which advises the
18Village of Plainfield on growth and planning issues; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld was a fundraising organizer and
20co-chairman of the Greater Joliet Area YMCA's Giving Gala, a
21Will County-oriented annual community event that provides help
22for persons and families seeking financial access to local YMCA

1programs; the 2014 Giving Gala, co-led by Mr. Stetenfeld,
2notched a 37% increase in proceeds from the 2013 Gala; the next
3Giving Gala is scheduled for February 28, 2015, at the
4Bolingbrook Golf Club; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld served as president of the
6Plainfield Kiwanis Club in 2008; he was also a senior member of
7the Plainfield Rotary Club and a parishioner and Eucharistic
8minister at St. Mary Immaculate Parish in Plainfield; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Tim Stetenfeld is survived by his wife, Cathy
10Stetenfeld; his mother, Arlene Stetenfeld; and 2 siblings,
11Ernie Stetenfeld, III and Sandi Stetenfeld Diana; therefore, be
12it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Tim Stetenfeld; and be
16it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Tim Stetenfeld as an expression of
19our sympathy.
