SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Elizabeth "Betty Ann" O'Connell of LaGrange; and

WHEREAS, Betty Ann was a volunteer and caregiver for Alzheimer's patients at Lexington Health Care; and

WHEREAS, Betty Ann was an avid Notre Dame fan; and

WHEREAS, Betty Ann was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister; and

WHEREAS, Betty Ann was the beloved wife of the late Phillip; the loving mother of Bernard (Marlene), Brian (Kathleen), Denis, the late Mary Ellen, the late Rosemary, and the late Timothy; the cherished grandmother of Peter Henry, Sean Bernard, John Patrick "Jack", and Kevin Joseph; the dear sister of Jack (Marge) Henry; the fond sister-in-law of Virginia (the late Tom) Moran and Ed O'Connell; and the loved aunt of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Elizabeth "Betty Ann" O'Connell, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Ann as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
