SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jerry Ray Robson of Harvard, who passed away on December 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Robson was born in Harrisburg on May 12, 1942 to Hazel and Joseph Robson; he graduated from Harvard High School in 1960 and attended Chicago Machine Accounting College; he served in the Illinois National Guard, where he became a Communications Sergeant; he married Kathleen Kaney on July 25, 1970 at the First United Methodist Church in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Robson enjoyed working in the electronics industry; he was employed at A.A. Anderson in Harvard and Sears in Rockford, and for a time, he owned Robson Radio and Electric; he later worked for Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Robson enjoyed installing sound equipment for his friends and spending time with his family, telling jokes and stories from his life; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Robson was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Jerry Robson is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children, Stephanie (Adam) Kasten and Amy (Matthew) Stech; his grandchildren, A.J. and Morgan Kasten and Caitlyn and Leah Stech; his siblings, Phyllis (Charles) Koltz and Jan (Peggy) Robson; several nieces and nephews; and his grandnieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jerry Ray Robson, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerry Robson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
