SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of David A. Gudziunas of North Chicago, who passed away on November 30, 2015; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was born on May 6, 1953 in Chicago; his parents were Adolph "Edward" and Anna Gudziunas; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas worked for Tower Products for 2 years; he retired as a patrolman with the North Chicago Police Department after 28 years of service; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was a member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club and a lifetime member of the Illinois Police Association; he was also an Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas enjoyed muskie fishing in the Northwoods and watching the Green Bay Packers; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Dennis and Anthony; and his uncle, Stanley Jasper; and

WHEREAS, David Gudziunas is survived by his wife of 43 years, Elizabeth; his daughter, Sarah (Joshua) Grubbs; his grandchildren, Charles, Cheyenne, and Jackson; his brother, Daniel (Kathleen) Gudziunas; his niece; and his many nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of David A. Gudziunas; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of David Gudziunas as an expression of our sympathy.
