SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kathleen Brock of Woodstock, who passed
4away on November 15, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kathleen Brock was born in Muskegon, Michigan on
6March 19, 1940 to John and Marrietta (nee Patterson) Tomorsky;
7she married Barry Charles Brock on February 3, 1961 in
8Tecumseh, Michigan; she graduated from the Mercy Nursing
9College of Toledo, Ohio; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kathleen Brock worked as a registered nurse for
11over 54 years; she most recently worked for Kindred Home
12Healthcare; she was instrumental in helping write the original
13Illinois CNA Licensing Program; she was also instrumental in
14helping open the Alcohol Recovery Unit at Centegra Hospital in
15Woodstock, as well as the Women's Residential Services for Lake
16County; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kathleen Brock enjoyed trips to Marco Island with
18her husband; she also enjoyed spending time with her loving
19family, especially her grandchildren; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Kathleen Brock was preceded in death by her
21parents and her husband, Barry Charles Brock; and

1    WHEREAS, Kathleen Brock is survived by her 2 daughters,
2Kelly (Brian) Ormsby Mason and Terri Brock (Steven Weinstock);
3her 3 grandchildren, Sophie Margit Mason, Aiden Brock Codding
4Mason, and Michael Barry Cascarano; and her cousin, Renee
5(David) Rosekrans; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Kathleen Brock, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Kathleen Brock as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
