SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Carla Ann Schwegel of Godfrey, who passed away on November 28, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was born on September 3, 1954; her parents were James and Barbara (nee Broadway) Witt; she married Edward Schwegel on September 9, 1972; and

WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was a devoted mother to her children and enjoyed a short career in early childhood education; she later turned that devotion and energy to her grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel was preceded in death by her mother; and

WHEREAS, Carla Schwegel is survived by her husband, Edward; her father; her sister, Linda (Otis) Nichols; her brothers, Alan Witt and Todd Witt; her children, Erin (Seth) Phillips and Eric Schwegel; her grandchildren, Ian, Hannah, and Elyse Phillips and Quinten Hess; and her many other extended family member and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Carla Ann Schwegel; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carla Schwegel as an expression of our sympathy.
