SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John T. Lowery of Joliet, who passed away on November 13, 2015; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery was born in Joliet and raised in Lockport; he lived in Joliet for the past 30 years; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery was a proud employee of the City of Joliet Water Department, where he was a devoted and hard-working employee; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery was a member of St. Dennis Church in Lockport; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery was an avid sports fan; he was also extremely handy and enjoyed helping everyone; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lowery, and his sister, Maureen Lowery; and

WHEREAS, John Lowery is survived by his daughters, Lauren (Jeff) Duncan and Samantha (Steven) Reese; his mother, Mary Lou McCabe; his brother, Richard Lowery; his sister, Mary Beth (Henry C.) Meader; his grandchildren, Bryce and Shea Duncan and Daniel and Patton Reese; and his many nieces, nephews, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of John T. Lowery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Lowery as an expression of our sympathy.
