SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sally Ann Hoefert of Godfrey, who passed away on November 15, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sally Hoefert was born in Alton on November 6, 1930 to Phillip and Viola (nee Joehl) Kennedy; she graduated from Marquette Catholic High School and married Harold T. Hoefert on October 11, 1952 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Sally Hoefert was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton and a member of St. Ann's Altar Society; she loved to play cards and was involved with numerous card clubs; and

WHEREAS, Sally Hoefert was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; and

WHEREAS, Sally Hoefert is survived by her 7 children, Phil (Kathy) Hoefert, Susan (Steve) Henderson, Cathy (Rick) Foelsch, Connie (Matt) Holden, Mary (Henry) Siemer, Mark (Dena) Hoefert, and Joanne "Bugsy" (Chris) Wickenhauser; her 17 grandchildren, Katrina (Paul) Yemm, Phillip (Katie), Jennifer, Stephanie, Anne, Abby, John, Michael, and Daniel Hoefert, Laurie (Adam) Selkowitz, Matthew (Katelyn) Baahlmann, Jill Baahlmann (fiancé, Johnie Schoonover), Emily Holden, Hannah, Sarah and Audrey Siemer, and Dean Hoefert; her 3 great-grandchildren, Christopher, Lily, and Noah; and her 2 sisters-in-law, Voni Hoefert and Gerry Mitchell; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sally Ann Hoefert, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sally Hoefert as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
