SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Edward J. Sychta of Grayslake, who passed away on November 14, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Edward Sychta was born in Chicago on July 9, 1923 to Joseph and Lottie (nee Urbanski) Sychta; he served in the military during World War II; he married Victoria on January 28, 1950 in Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Edward Sychta was a long-standing President of the Vernon Hills Seniors Organization; he enjoyed going to the casino and being with his family; and

WHEREAS, Edward Sychta was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Steve; and his sister, Bernice; and

WHEREAS, Edward Sychta is survived by his wife of 65 years, Victoria; his children, Susan (Martin) Gallegos-Sychta, Margaret (Kimbrough) Clarke, Mercedes (Jerome) Balcer, and James (Sharon) Sychta; his grandchildren, Nina (Alex) Larson, Scott, Madeline, Cassandra, Claire, and Trevor; and his great-grandson, Colton; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Edward J. Sychta, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Edward Sychta as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
