SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Nicholas R. "Nick" Szymczak of Johnsburg, who passed away on October 23, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Nick Szymczak was born in Chicago on August 27, 1942 to Samuel and Lucille (nee Kuffel) Szymczak; he attended Lane Tech High School, where he played football and was named the All-City full back; he served in the United States Army as an aircraft mechanic from 1965 to 1967; and

WHEREAS, Nick Szymczak was a computer programmer in the printing industry for over 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Nick Szymczak enjoyed boating and spending time with his family; and

WHEREAS, Nick Szymczak was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Marlene; and his granddaughter, Abigail; and

WHEREAS, Nick Szymczak is survived by his 2 children, Brian Szymczak and Nicole (Aaron) Boss; his 4 grandchildren, Kuen, Kaden, Jordan, and Aubrey; his 2 brothers, Valentine (the late Anita) Szymczak and Daniel Szymczak; and his sister, Joyce (Robert) Sutay; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Nicholas R. "Nick" Szymczak, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Nick Szymczak as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
