SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert L. Turner of Crystal Lake, who passed away on November 1, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Robert Turner was born on February 21, 1922 in Atlantic, Iowa to Ora and Maude Turner; he served in the United States Navy from 1942 to 1946 as an Aviation Machinist; he married Patricia Choate on July 10, 1946 in Melrose Park, and in 1950, they moved to Crystal Lake, into the home Robert built; and

WHEREAS, Robert Turner worked for BurDent Manufacturing and its subsequent divisions until his retirement after 37 years; and

WHEREAS, Robert Turner was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Patricia; his parents; his sisters, Lela Zellmer and Helen Soukup; and his brother, Floyd Turner; and

WHEREAS, Robert Turner is survived by his children, Susan (Allen) Chodl and Nancy Melvin, and his brother, Max (Joann) Turner; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert L. Turner, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Robert Turner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
