SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert Dale Lamb of Greenfield, who
4passed away on December 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Lamb was born near St. Joseph, Missouri on
6February 13, 1929 to Kathryn (nee Chrissinger) and Kenneth O.
7Lamb; he attended Bluffs High School; he married Netta LaVern
8Hart on December 15, 1948; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Robert Lamb began working at the age of 15; he
10worked on a farm, as a welder at Allis Chalmers, and as a truck
11driver; he and his wife bought a blacksmith shop in Greenfield
12in 1954 and established the company that would become Bob Lamb
13Co., Inc.; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Lamb was named an honorary parade marshall
15for the Greenville Homecoming in 2007; he enjoyed riding
16motorcycles, trap shooting, hunting, repairing tractors, and
17participating in Classic Iron, a group of tractor enthusiasts
18who display farming machinery and raise funds for charitable
19causes; for many years, he traveled to Texas where he met new
20friends and enjoyed warm winters; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Robert Lamb was preceded in death by his wife,

2    WHEREAS, Robert Lamb is survived by his children, Robert
3J., Ken (Lissa), Eric (Lesta), and Melissa (Tom) Pantier; his
4grandchildren, Jason (Michelle), Kyle (Kristi), Heather, Jake
5(Beth), Luke, Jeb, Jed, and Thad (Rachel) Lamb, Kristen (Dan)
6Bilbruck, Abby (Randy) Schnettgoecke, Lindsay (Larry) Wentzel,
7and Scott and Leanna Pantier; his 15 great-grandchildren; his 4
8step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his
9sister, Joy Pitman; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Robert Dale Lamb, and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Robert Lamb as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
