SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Beverly J. Neighbors of Carlinville, who
4passed away on November 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was born in Decatur on July 29,
61947 to Russell and Lois (nee Cowger) Wilton; she graduated
7from Carlinville Community High School in 1965, where she
8served as a drum majorette; she then graduated from
9Scharfenberg Beauty School; she married Bill Neighbors on May
1022, 1971 at Memorial Christian Church in Carlinville; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors worked as a beautician at the
12Friendship Nursing Home and in Springfield; she also worked as
13a secretary for the State of Illinois and in advertising and
14sales at the Macoupin County Enquirer-Democrat for 23 years;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was a member of Memorial
17Christian Church; she was an officer with The International
18Order of the Rainbow for Girls; she enjoyed antiquing,
19shopping, dancing, and spending time with her family and
20grandchildren; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors was preceded in death by her

1mother; her brother-in-law, Max Stewart; and her nephew, Brett
2Stewart; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Beverly Neighbors is survived by her husband,
4Bill; her father; her 2 daughters, Michelle (Rich) Hampton and
5Shawna (Craig) Poe; her grandchildren, Ainsley and Alexander
6Poe; her brother, Ron (Ruth) Wilton; her sister, Karen Stewart;
7and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Beverly J. Neighbors, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Beverly Neighbors as an expression
15of our deepest sympathy.
