SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Robert A. "Bob" Sanders, Jr. of Winchester, who passed away on October 7, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Bob Sanders was born in Jerseyville on September 2, 1967 to Robert Allen Sanders, Sr. and Patricia Ann Jackson Owings; he graduated from Winchester High School, Lincoln Land Community College, and the University of Illinois at Springfield with his bachelors degree in mathematics and a teaching endorsement; he received his masters degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education; he married Peggy Ann Welsh; and

WHEREAS, Bob Sanders taught math in Taylorville, Winchester, and Jacksonville; he coached boys and girls track and basketball and was the assistant football coach in Winchester; he was currently Principal at AC Central Middle and High School; and

WHEREAS, Bob Sanders was a member of St. Mark's Church in Winchester; he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Illinois Principals Association; and

WHEREAS, Bob Sanders is survived by his wife, Peggy; his daughters, Mandy (Brian) Friedrich and Laura (Michael) Williams; his brother, Mike Sanders; his grandsons, Devon Williams and Bryce Friedrich; and his grandfather, Glen Jackson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Robert A. "Bob" Sanders, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Bob Sanders as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
