SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ruby M. Ferro of Joliet, who passed away on October 30, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Ruby Ferro was born on August 24, 1928 to Maurice and Ruby (nee Gray) Culo; she graduated from Joliet Township High School, and, before her marriage, she worked at the Gerlach-Barklow Calendar Company in Joliet; and

WHEREAS, Ruby Ferro loved doing crafts and made many memorable items for her family throughout the years; and

WHEREAS, Ruby Ferro was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Elaine (Bob) Ehrsam and Betty (Don) Hadala; and her brothers and sisters-in-law, Rolle and Lena Kurth, Tony and Rosella Ferro, and Leno and Rosie Giacomi; and

WHEREAS, Ruby Ferro is survived by her husband of 66 years, Peter A. Ferro; their 3 sons, Peter (Sharon), John (Rebecca), and Jim (Ann) Ferro; her 8 grandchildren, Nicholas (Missy) Ferro, Danielle (Jeff) Weiss, Allison (Matt) Marketti, Monica (Ned) Grabavoy, Vince Ferro, Doug (Angie) Ferro, Veronica Ferro, and Amanda Ferro; and her 11 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ruby M. Ferro, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ruby Ferro as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
