SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Theodore "Ted" Beskow, Jr. of Fox Lake, who passed away on October 20, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was born on November 15, 1931 in Chicago; his parents were Theodore and Irene (nee LiGue) Beskow; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. retired from the Lake County Division of Transportation after many years of service; he was a former Fox Lake Village and Grant Township Trustee and a sergeant with the Fox Lake Police Department; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was a longtime member of Fox Lake American Legion Post 703; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. was preceded in death by his wife, A.M. "Bunny" Beskow; his parents; and his brother, Erwin Beskow; and

WHEREAS, Theodore Beskow, Jr. is survived by his children, Mary (John) Zarr, Robert (Rebecca) Beskow, Susan (Gust) Gustafson, Kim (Don) Van Hoogen, Ann (Lenny) Vear, and Ted (Sandy) Beskow, III; his grandchildren, Kelly (Ryan), Ryan, Lindsay (Ryan), Carly (Rob), Sally (Tim), Gust, Danny, Jamie, Eric, Allison, Valerie, Erin, and Jake; his great-grandchildren, T.J., Nolan, Charlotte, and A.J.; his sister, LaVerne (the late Bill) Thompson; his brother-in-law, Bill (Babe) Koch; Ruth (the late Bob) Koch; and his many special friends in the Fox Lake community, cousins, nieces, and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Theodore "Ted" Beskow, Jr.; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Theodore Beskow, Jr. as an expression of our sympathy.
