SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Janet Lynn Donehey, who passed away on September 25, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey was born on February 27, 1963 in Chicago; her parents were Terry and Nina (nee Cole) Atkiels; she married David R. Donehey on January 13, 1995; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey graduated from Oak Forest High School in 1981; she subsequently attended Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where she was a 3-sport athlete; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey was dedicated to serving and supporting the local community; she served as a book keeper for the Richmond-Spring Grove Chamber of Commerce and the Wauconda Chamber of Commerce; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey enjoyed crafting, softball, football, and motorcycles; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey was preceded in death by her grandparents; and

WHEREAS, Janet Donehey is survived by her loving husband, David; her children, Edward "Teddy", Terry, Timothy, Vivienne, Kiersten, and Rhyse; her grandsons, Jack and Joseph; her parents; her brothers, William (Margot) Atkiels and Michael (Ali) Atkiels; her sister, Jeannie (Tom) Emerson; her uncle, Sammie Cole; her aunt, Connie Cole; her nephews, Will, Mike, and Matt; and her many cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Janet Lynn Donehey; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Janet Donehey as an expression of our sympathy.
