SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Larry W. Mowery of Heyworth, who passed away on October 3, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was born on February 2, 1952 in Normal; his parents were Franklin W. and Olive V. David Mowery; he married Judy L. Schmid on September 1, 1973 in Wapella; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery served in the Illinois Army National Guard in Bloomington; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery served as a supervisor for the Department of Transportation in Bloomington; he was also a Heyworth Village Trustee for 20 years, a Village of Heyworth police officer from 1973 to 1978, a volunteer for the Heyworth Ambulance Service, and a 6-year Village President of Heyworth; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was a 40-year life member of the Carl E. Miller Post 624 American Legion in Heyworth and 30-year coach and certified sports official; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sister, Teri Havertine; and

WHEREAS, Larry Mowery is survived by his wife, Judy L. Mowery; his son, Adam W. (Ashley) Mowery; his daughter, Molly (Cody Robison) Mowery; his granddaughters, Reagan Mowery, Emma Mowery, and Maci Robison; his brother, Gary Mowery; and his sister, Mary (Roger) Johnson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Larry W. Mowery; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Larry Mowery as an expression of our sympathy.
