SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Larry W. Mowery of Heyworth, who passed
4away on October 3, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was born on February 2, 1952 in
6Normal; his parents were Franklin W. and Olive V. David Mowery;
7he married Judy L. Schmid on September 1, 1973 in Wapella; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery served in the Illinois Army National
9Guard in Bloomington; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery served as a supervisor for the
11Department of Transportation in Bloomington; he was also a
12Heyworth Village Trustee for 20 years, a Village of Heyworth
13police officer from 1973 to 1978, a volunteer for the Heyworth
14Ambulance Service, and a 6-year Village President of Heyworth;
15and
 
16    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was a 40-year life member of the Carl
17E. Miller Post 624 American Legion in Heyworth and 30-year
18coach and certified sports official; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery was preceded in death by his parents
20and his twin sister, Teri Havertine; and

1    WHEREAS, Larry Mowery is survived by his wife, Judy L.
2Mowery; his son, Adam W. (Ashley) Mowery; his daughter, Molly
3(Cody Robison) Mowery; his granddaughters, Reagan Mowery, Emma
4Mowery, and Maci Robison; his brother, Gary Mowery; and his
5sister, Mary (Roger) Johnson; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Larry W. Mowery; and
9be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Larry Mowery as an expression of our
12sympathy.
