SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth H. Wickenhauser of Alton, who
4passed away on January 27, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was born on March 5, 1928 in
6Alton; his parents were Herbert and Doris (nee Betzold)
7Wickenhauser; he married Bernadine (nee Svoboda) Urban on
8December 31, 1968; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser attended St. Mary's Grade
10School in Alton, the Christian Brothers Military Academy in St.
11Louis, and St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser served his country with
13pride as a member of the United States Air Force and the United
14States Army; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was the president of the
16Modern Plumbing and Heating Company for many years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was a member of St. Mary's
18Catholic Church; he served as president of the Plumbing and
19Pipe Fitters Contracting Association for 4 terms; he served as
20president of the Easter Seal Society, a member of the Civil Air

1Patrol, a member of Life Line Pilots, and a volunteer for St.
2Anthony's Hospital; he also served on the board of directors of
3Lockhaven Country Club for one term and was Lockhaven's golf
4club champion for 3 years; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser received his private pilot's
6license at the age of 16 and was a certified instrument flight
7instructor; he loved flying, fishing, playing golf, and
8spending time with his family; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser was preceded in death by his
10parents and a half-brother, Vernon Schwartz; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wickenhauser is survived by his wife,
12Bernie; 4 children, Tim (Marcia), Matt (Sue), and Sherry
13Wickenhauser and Tess (Bernie) Hanneken; 6 grandchildren, Kurt
14(Erin), Anna, and Mandi Wickenhauser, Kristin (C.J.) Pilliod,
15and Marlo and Sophia Hanneken; and 3 great-grandchildren;
16therefore, be it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
19family and friends, mourn the passing of Kenneth H.
20Wickenhauser; and be it further
 
21    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
