SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Tony Bruno of Gurnee, who passed away on September 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bruno served as a B-29 side gunner in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bruno retired from Johnson Motors in 1986 after 36 years of service; after his retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling and visiting friends and relatives; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bruno is preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Marie (nee McGill), and his parents, Peter and Theresa Bruno; and

WHEREAS, Tony Bruno is survived by his brother, James (Myrna) Bruno; his children, Karen (Joseph) Peeples, Dr. Michael (Cindy) Bruno, Kathy (Greg) Verenski, Teresa (Glenn) Luce, and Robbi Ratkovich; his grandchildren, Carrie, Chris, Jeff, Kevin, Sara, Michelle, Brianne, and Alyssa; and his great-grandchild, Harrison; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of Tony Bruno; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Tony Bruno as an expression of our sympathy.
