SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William P. Babich, who passed away on September 6, 2015; and

WHEREAS, William Babich was a graduate of Lockport High School; he subsequently earned his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Special Education from Northern Illinois University; and

WHEREAS, William Babich was employed by the Joliet Township High School District as a Special Education Teacher, Division Chair, and Director of Special Services for 35 years; and

WHEREAS, William Babich was preceded in death by his parents, William and Evelyn Babich; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Mary Holland; his brother, Richard Babich; his brother-in-law, Marvin Holland; and his sisters, Judi (Darwin) Anderson and Roberta (Norman) Rowley; and

WHEREAS, William Babich is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Helen; his sons, Peter and Anthony; his sisters-in-law, Linda Babich, Margaret (Tom) Schaefer, Ilene (Bill) Covert, Carol Milius, Theresa (Bill) Reusch, Cynthia (Joe) Gitta, Annette (Robert) Larson, and Rosemary Holland; his brothers-in-law, Chuck Holland, Tom (Bev) Holland, Jim Holland, Dan (Jori) Holland, Tony (Rhonda) Holland, Don (Cathy) Holland, and Ron (Terri) Holland; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of William P. Babich; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Babich as an expression of our sympathy.
