SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
630 ILCS 5/60

    Amends the Public-Private Partnerships for Transportation Act. Provides that for purposes of the Section, "traffic and motor vehicle laws" include, but are not limited to, the Illinois Vehicle Code and the Criminal Code of 2012.

1    AN ACT concerning transportation.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Public-Private Partnerships for
5Transportation Act is amended by changing Section 60 as
6follows:
 
7    (630 ILCS 5/60)
8    Sec. 60. Law enforcement.
9    (a) All law enforcement officers of the State and of each
10affected local jurisdiction have the same powers and
11jurisdiction within the limits of the transportation facility
12as they have in their respective areas of jurisdiction.
13    (b) Law enforcement officers shall have access to the
14transportation facility at any time for the purpose of
15exercising the law enforcement officers' powers and
16jurisdiction.
17    (c) The traffic and motor vehicle laws of the State of
18Illinois or, if applicable, any local jurisdiction shall be the
19same as those applying to conduct on similar projects in the
20State of Illinois or the local jurisdiction.
21    (d) Punishment for infractions and offenses shall be as
22prescribed by law for conduct occurring on similar projects in
23the State of Illinois or the local jurisdiction.

1    (e) For purposes of this Section, "traffic and motor
2vehicle laws" include, but are not limited to, the Illinois
3Vehicle Code and the Criminal Code of 2012.
