HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Auburn High School football team, the Trojans, on their 2nd place finish in the 2015 Class 2A State Championship; and

WHEREAS, After a thrilling 10-4 season, coming back from a 1-3 start, the Trojans appeared in their first ever State championship game; and

WHEREAS, The Trojans displayed fine sportsmanship and athletic professionalism during their final game in a bid for a State championship and they maintained their dignity and high standards throughout the entire season; and

WHEREAS, Head Coach Dave Bates led the Trojans to their first State championship game in football during his 30th season and he plans to capitalize on this successful season by creating an even stronger team next season; and

WHEREAS, The Trojans are Drew Chance, Ben Johnson, Evan Grimm, Drew Points, Cayden Muench, Benji Eaker, Destin Chance, Josh Johnson, Ryan McLaughlin, Colby Bossman, Logan Newbold, Matt Sargeant, Keithen Williams, Peyton Allen, DJ Donaldson, Sam Canady, Cole Maxedon, Colton McDannald, Braydon Smith, Sydney Landers, Cameron Appelt, Noah Mayes, Peyton Weiss, Caleb Baptist, Dylan Minks, Matt Clary, Anthony Alexander, Matt Mangold, Tyler Bridges, Austin Goss, Jimmy Yagow, Jake Roth, Gorge Giron, Jaedon Landers, Tyler Graham, Jacob Hill, Cameron Boyer, Kyler Clark, Adam Ellrich, Bradley Sharp, Alex Heren, Greg Downs, Aubrey Beard, Nick Geoghegan, Austin Curtis, Coltyn Harrison, Zach Heren, Evan Patterson; and

WHEREAS, Graduating seniors are Drew Chance, Drew Points, Peyton Weiss, Evan Patterson, Zach Heren, Colton McDannald, Sam Canaday, Alex Heren, Austin Goss, Matt Clary, Kyler Clark, Gorge Giron, Noah Mayes, and Nick Geoghegan; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Auburn High School football team, the Trojans, on their 2nd place finish in the 2015 Class 2A State Championship and we wish them many more years of success to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That we wish the best of luck to the graduating seniors and we wish them the best in all their future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Trojans as an expression of our esteem and respect.
