HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Illinois House of Representatives is delighted to congratulate the Rochester High School Rockets Girls Golf Team on winning the Illinois State championship Class A Title; and

WHEREAS, The Rochester Rockets Girls Golf Team won its first team championship after second-place finishes in 2012 and 2013 and finishing third in 2014; and

WHEREAS, The Rochester Rockets Girls Golf Team came back from an 11-stroke deficit to win by 16 strokes at the Red Tail Run Golf Club in Decatur; the Rockets shot a 99-over par to score 675 as a team, besting Metropolis Massac County and Charleston; and

WHEREAS, The members of the Rochester Rockets Girls Golf Team include seniors Morgan Savage, Gabby Issacks, and Andria Robinson, juniors Lindsay Alewelt and Katie Archery, sophomores Sophia Barris and Kayleigh Blaney, and Courtney Frederick, Tori Morgan, Kaylee Talkington, Lily Jones, Lauren Brand, Macey Flynn, and Hannah Ramsey; the team is led by Coaches Jeff Hill and Alison Mayer; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Rochester High School Rockets Girls Golf Team on winning the Illinois State championship Class A Title and for the professionalism they displayed in doing so; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Rochester Rockets Girls Golf Team as a symbol of our admiration for their victory.
