HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Sylvia A. Heuser of Wood Dale on the occasion of her 100th birthday on October 26, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Sylvia Heuser was born on October 26, 1915 in Chicago; her parents are Julia and Thomas Rocco; she grew up on Taylor Street with her 3 siblings; and

WHEREAS, Sylvia Heuser was a 29-year employee for the Mars Candy Company, where she hand-wrapped candy bars; and

WHEREAS, Sylvia Heuser has lived through 10 major military conflicts, 18 United States Presidents, and the Great Depression; and

WHEREAS, Sylvia Heuser raised 2 beautiful girls with her husband, Ted; she is the grandmother of 5 grandchildren, Timothy Mackey, Mark Mackey, William Belmonte, Teresa Belmonte, and Joseph Belmonte, and the great-grandmother of 7 great-grandchildren, Abigail Mackey, Sean Mackey, Patrick Mackey, Grace Mackey, Will Belmonte, Alexis Belmonte, and Nadia Mackey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sylvia A. Heuser on the occasion of her 100th birthday and wish her many happy and healthy years to come; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sylvia Heuser as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
