HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of G.
4Douglas Hibsch of Fairbury, who passed away on December 16,
52014; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Douglas Hibsch was born on August 29, 1946 in
7Fairbury to George and Anna Louise (nee Aellig) Hibsch; he
8graduated from Fairbury-Cropsey High School in 1964; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Douglas Hibsch worked at Technical Metals for over
1040 years and was a well-known mentor at his workplace; he was
11always willing to help anyone no matter the problem; he was a
12talented machinist; he took extreme pride in what he did and
13kept up with the ever-changing industry; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Douglas Hibsch married Nancy Zeedyk Gerdes on July
1528, 2001; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Douglas Hibsch had a passion for golf and was a
17former member at Indian Creek Golf Course; he was a member of
18the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fairbury; he was a proud
19resident of Fairbury and enjoyed discussing his memories in the
20town; he served on the country club board and was currently
21serving as a City of Fairbury Alderman; and

1    WHEREAS, Douglas Hibsch is survived by his wife, Nancy; his
2daughter, Lori (Jay) Hibsch Dietz; his son, Michael (Cindi)
3Hibsch; his 4 grandchildren, Claire and Jack Dietz and Sophia
4and Tyler Hibsch; and his sister, Barbara (Ron) Kanemura;
5therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
8we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of G.
9Douglas Hibsch; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Douglas Hibsch as an expression of
12our sympathy.
