HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Kathryn
4"Kay" Woolard of West Frankfort, who passed away on June 15,
52015; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was born in Johnston City on September
711, 1935 to Clarence Lee and Nola Irene (nee Bowyer) Williams;
8she graduated from Johnston City High School in 1954; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was a homemaker; she was an active
10member of Third Baptist Church in West Frankfort, where she
11taught Sunday school and served as Treasurer for many years;
12she also helped cook and serve meals at the church; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kay Woolard loved her family and enjoyed cooking
14for them; she had a long-standing tradition of preparing a
15Monday evening meal at her home for family gatherings; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kay Woolard was preceded in death by her parents;
17her brother, Jack Williams; and her 2 brothers-in-law, Bill
18Wallace and Gerald Woolard; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Kay Woolard is survived by her 3 sons and
20daughters-in-law, Greg (Lisa) Woolard, Jeff (Debbie) Woolard,

1and Mark (Rachel) Woolard; her former husband, Jack Woolard;
2her grandchildren, Kristy (Derek) Dodd, Tarah (Keith) Kelley,
3Tony (Laura Dunning) Woolard, Mikane (Johnathon) Watson, Lucas
4Woolard, Jacob (Brittany) Woolard, Kylie (Jarrett) Cash,
5Dalton (Jodi Williams) Woolard, Jairika Woolard, Fairen
6Woolard, and Reece Woolard; her 9 great-grandchildren, Tadan
7and Maylea Dodd, Kamille and Lilah Kelley, Rylea, Hadlea, and
8Ayslea Watson, and Camden and Jackson Woolard; her sister,
9Joyce Wallace; her brother, Clarence "Bud" (Irene) Williams,
10Jr.; her 5 sisters-in-law, Louise Williams, Janice (Jim)
11Coulson, Gayla (Joe) Capps, Nancy Woolard, and Carolyn Kuba;
12her brother-in-law, Harold (Veronica) Woolard; and numerous
13nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16mourn the passing of Kathryn "Kay" Woolard, and extend our
17sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
18and loved her; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Kay Woolard as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
