HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Vivian L. Downing on the occasion of her retirement from her position as Administration Special Projects Coordinator and Site Compliance Officer for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Illinois after more than 20 years of dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Vivian Downing grew up in New Athens and Steeleville in Southern Illinois; she received her bachelor's degree in business education from Eastern Illinois University and lived and worked in Naperville; Green Bay, Wisconsin; Atlanta, Georgia; and Charlotte, North Carolina; before moving to the Bloomington-Normal area; and

WHEREAS, In 2010, Vivian Downing was honored by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce with the Top Administrative Professional Award for her superb knowledge, skills, and abilities; and

WHEREAS, Vivian Downing has one daughter, Charlsie, who is married to Steve DeHorsey; her grandchildren, "AJ" (Andrew James) and Jordyn Adelle are her pride and joy; and

WHEREAS, Vivian Downing is moving to Cape May Courthouse, New Jersey to be nearer to her family; and

WHEREAS, Vivian Downing plans to enjoy days on the beach, reading, creating memories with AJ and Jordyn, and being active in her new church community; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Vivian L. Downing on her retirement from her position as Administration Special Projects Coordinator and Site Compliance Officer for Advocate BroMenn Medical Center and Advocate Eureka Hospital in Illinois after more than 20 years of dedicated service; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Vivian Downing as an expression of our esteem and respect.
