HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House Representatives wish to congratulate Craig Collins on the occasion of his retirement from Geneva Community School District 304; and

WHEREAS, Craig Collins began his career teaching social studies at the junior/senior high school in Mora, Minnesota from 1976 to 1978; from 1978 to 1980, he taught social studies at the senior high school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; from 1980 to 1981, he served as a teaching assistant at the Department of Elementary/Early Childhood Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; from 1983 to 1986, he served as Principal of the junior/senior high school in Assumption; and

WHEREAS, Craig Collins joined District 304 in 1986 as the Assistant Principal of Geneva Community High School; later that year, he became Principal, serving in that position until 2000; and

WHEREAS, Craig Collins became Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources for District 304 in 2000, serving for 15 years until 2015; and

WHEREAS, Craig Collins grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science/Social Studies from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota; he also holds a Master of Education in Educational Administration; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Craig Collins on his retirement from Geneva Community School District 304 and we wish him the best in all his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Craig Collins as an expression of our esteem and respect.
