HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives with to congratulate Sister M. Simona Frohning, FSGM on 25 years as a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George; and

WHEREAS, Sister Frohning entered into religious life on September 8, 1980; and

WHEREAS, Sister Frohning holds an associate's degree in accounting from Olney Central College; and

WHEREAS, Sister Frohning's principal areas of ministry have been in domestic services at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C., service in priest retirement homes in Lincoln, Nebraska and Somerset, New Jersey, and in secretarial services and pastoral care at OSF Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton; and

WHEREAS, Sister Frohning currently serves as superior and administrator of the Maria Regina Residence for retired priests in Somerset, New Jersey; and

WHEREAS, Sister Frohning is a native of Ingraham in the Belleville diocese; she calls Holy Cross Church of Wendelin her home parish; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Sister M. Simona Frohning, FSGM on 25 years as a member of the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Sister Frohning as an expression of our esteem and respect.
