HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Sgt.
4Robert M. Weinger of Round Lake Beach, who passed away on March
515, 2009; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Sgt. Weinger was born in Libertyville on December
722, 1984; he graduated from Round Lake Beach High School in
82003 and enlisted in the United States Army on January 12, 2006
9as an 11B, Infantryman with A Company 1st Battalion 178th
10Infantry Chicago; he completed Basic Training and Infantry
11School at Ft. Benning, Georgia; he volunteered for his second
12tour of duty and was mobilized with the 1st Battalion 178th
13Infantry and deployed to Afghanistan on August 21, 2008; and
 
14    WHEREAS, On Sunday, March 15, 2009, Sgt. Weinger gave his
15life to his country in the Nangarhar Province of Eastern
16Afghanistan; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Sgt. Weinger loved sports, playing soccer, and
18wrestling on the Round Lake Panthers team; he was an avid
19Chicago White Sox and Bears fan and loved to hunt with his
20father; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Sgt. Weinger was the loving son of Howard and

1Susan; the dear brother of Paul; the cherished grandson of Mary
2and the late Ira Weinger and James and the late Patricia King;
3the love of Tanya Colatorti's life; the fond nephew of Murray
4(Kathy) and Holly Weinger, Deborah and Victoria King, and Diana
5(Thomas) Johnston; the best friend of Jack Pryde and Bill
6Coots; special cousin to many; a loyal friend; a proud soldier;
7and companion to his faithful dog, Bear; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10mourn the passing of Sgt. Robert M. Weinger, and extend our
11sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
12and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Sgt. Weinger as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
