1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to congratulate the Library of the Polish
4 Museum of America in Chicago on the occasion of the 100th
5 anniversary of its founding; and

6     WHEREAS, The Library of the Polish Museum of America is not
7 just a collection of books and information but a reflection of
8 the community it serves; it is the readers, the researchers,
9 the students, and the pupils who have visited over the past 100
10 years in search of information; and

11     WHEREAS, The founding of the Library predates the founding
12 of the Polish Museum of America by 20 years, showing the
13 importance that learning and information played in Polish
14 history and culture; and

15     WHEREAS, A 100th anniversary celebration was held on April
16 18, 2015 in support of the library's rare book conservation
17 project; therefore, be it

18     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
19 NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
20 congratulate the Library of the Polish Museum of America on its
21 100th anniversary and we wish them many more wonderful years;

1 and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the Library of the Polish Museum of America as an
4 expression of our esteem and respect.
