| | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the dancers of the | | 4 | | Lavin-Cassidy School of Irish Dance on their success at the | | 5 | | 2015 World Championships; and
| | 6 | | WHEREAS, The Lavin-Cassidy School of Irish Dance, located | | 7 | | in Worth, has been teaching Irish dance and competing in events | | 8 | | for almost 30 years; and
| | 9 | | WHEREAS, The 2015 World Championships were held in | | 10 | | Montreal, Canada from March 29 through April 5; 28 | | 11 | | Lavin-Cassidy dancers participated, winning 3 World Titles and | | 12 | | a 2nd place finish; the dancers won 27 World Medals and 4 World | | 13 | | Globes; and
| | 14 | | WHEREAS, In the World Championship Soloist competition, | | 15 | | Tadgh Spillane took 1st place in the U14 class; Jack Bullington | | 16 | | took 8th place in the U11 class, and Michalene Donnelly took | | 17 | | 9th place in the U13 class; and
| | 18 | | WHEREAS, The U11 Ceili Team took 2nd place at the 2015 | | 19 | | World Championships; they are Delaney Bullington, Aileen | | 20 | | Chesniak, Kylie Collins, Libby Gibbons, Kayla Harper, Courtney | | 21 | | Mayo, Maura McInerney, and Mairead O'Brien; and

| | 1 | | WHEREAS, The U13 Ceili Team took 1st place at the 2015 | | 2 | | World Championships; they are Abigail Chesniak, Michalene | | 3 | | Donnelly, Elizabeth Gildea, Kaylee Loperano, Claire McInerney, | | 4 | | Abigail Perry, Syndey Rozhon, and Molly Ross; and
| | 5 | | WHEREAS, The U19 Ceili Team took 1st place at the 2015 | | 6 | | World Championships; they are Keely Dolan, Bailey Donnelly, | | 7 | | Martina Lee, Kali Graziano, Grace O'Brien, Erin Rickert, | | 8 | | Bridget Rickert, and Katie Ross; and
| | 9 | | WHEREAS, The coaches are Ann Lavin Cassidy, Laura Stack | | 10 | | Finn, Emma Jane Jordan, Caoimhe Cassidy, and Stephanie Ryan; | | 11 | | therefore, be it
| | 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | | 13 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | | 14 | | congratulate the dancers of the Lavin-Cassidy School of Irish | | 15 | | Dance on their success at the 2015 World Championships and we | | 16 | | wish them many more successful years; and be it further
| | 17 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be | | 18 | | presented to each member and coach of the Lavin-Cassidy dance | | 19 | | team.
