HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, Arthur "Kent" Rich was born in Libertyville on March 25, 1931 to Elmer and Ruth (nee Anderson) Rich; he was a lifelong resident of Grayslake and graduated from Grayslake High School; and

WHEREAS, Kent Rich spent his career with School District 96; he taught 7th and 8th grade math and science and later became principal; he ended his career as Director of Facilities and Transportation; and

WHEREAS, Kent Rich served on the Grayslake Library Board of Trustees for 42 years, beginning in 1970; he was a founding member of the local Jaycees and served on the Gray's Lake Management Committee for over 20 years; and

WHEREAS, Kent Rich was considered by many to be a local historian who everyone went to with questions and for information; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize the life of Arthur "Kent" Rich and the impact he had on the Grayslake community; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kent Rich as an expression of our esteem and respect.
