HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate James "J.J." Wolfe of Dakota Junior & Senior High School on winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A 145-Pound State Wrestling Championship; and

WHEREAS, J.J. Wolfe is ranked 14th in the nation as a National All-American and has a record of 43 wins and 2 loses; in 2014, he won the IHSA Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling Championship, and, in 2013, he took second place at State; and

WHEREAS, J.J. Wolfe wrestles approximately 10 months out of the year all across the country; this is the third summer he has been asked to wrestle for Team Illinois; he wrestled at the Scholastic Duals in Indiana and in Virginia Beach in past years; and

WHEREAS, In addition to being a successful wrestler, J.J. Wolfe is an excellent student and excels at Drafting/CAD; he has been ranked first in his class for the past 3 years; he is a member of the Varsity Club and participates in the Tech Trek Competition, where he was ranked 14th in the nation; and

WHEREAS, J.J. Wolfe is a senior and plans to continue wrestling while attending Eastern Michigan University, where he will major in mechanical engineering; in his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends, traveling with his family to their cottage in the Wisconsin Dells during the summer, and collecting shoes; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate James "J.J." Wolfe on winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association Class 1A 145-Pound State Wrestling Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to J.J. Wolfe as an expression of our esteem and respect.
