HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Nathan S. Olsen of Dakota Junior & Senior High School on winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling Championship; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen compiled a record of 39 wins and 5 loses on his way to the championship; and

WHEREAS, In 2013, Nathan Olsen placed sixth at the IHSA Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling Championship tournament; in 2014, he placed third in the Freshman-Sophomore State Wrestling Championship tournament; he placed 3rd at the National Tournament in the Wisconsin Dells in 2014; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen began his wrestling career in middle school with the junior wrestling program, the Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation; in addition to wrestling, he has spent the last 3 years playing football for Dakota High School; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen is a part of the Varsity Club and he works part time at a restaurant in his area making pizza; in his free time, he enjoys fishing, swimming, hunting, and four-wheeling; and

WHEREAS, Nathan Olsen is looking at several colleges for the future with plans to major in the field of engineering; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Nathan S. Olsen on winning the 2015 Illinois High School Association Class 1A 138-Pound State Wrestling Championship; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Nathan Olsen as an expression of our esteem and respect.
