HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Mary Frances "Mickey"
4Scoville on the occasion of her retirement from the St. Clair
5County State's Attorney's Office after 33 years of service; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Mary Scoville was born in the Gomper Homes in East
7St. Louis to George and Mary Frances Weilmuenster on
8Valentine's Day 1950; she grew up with two brothers, Denny and
9George Weilmuenster; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Mary Scoville is married to Jack Scoville;
11together they have two sons, Tom and Chris, and a stepdaughter,
12Jackie; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Mary Scoville began working for the St. Clair
14County State's Attorney's Office on August 1, 1983 under
15State's Attorney John Baricevic; she worked for State's
16Attorney Robert Haida from 1990 until 2010 and for State's
17Attorney Brendan Kelly from 2010 until 2016; and
 
18    WHEREAS, During her 33 years of service to St. Clair County
19and to the people of the State of Illinois, Mary Scoville
20helped hundreds of prosecutors, thousands of police officers,
21and countless members of the public, witnesses, and victims of

1crime; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Known for her kindness, patience, and work ethic,
3Mary Scoville has been the backbone of the St. Clair County
4State's Attorney's Office for over 30 years; and
 
5    WHEREAS, During her retirement, Mary Scoville is planning
6on spending more time with her six grandchildren and one
7great-grandchild; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
9NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
10congratulate Mary Frances "Mickey" Scoville on her retirement,
11and we wish her the best in all her future endeavors; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to Mary Frances as an expression of our esteem and
15respect.
