HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the Naperville North High School Huskies boys soccer team on the occasion of winning the 2016 Illinois Class 3A High School Soccer Championship; and

WHEREAS, The 2016 Naperville North Huskies' hard-fought 3-1 victory over Barrington in the Class 3A State championship game at Hoffman Estates High School is the second State title for Naperville North Soccer, the other having been achieved in 1998; and

WHEREAS, Naperville North Junior Jack Barry provided an assist in the first half of the championship game with a long throw-in, then scored the go-ahead goal in the second half to put the Huskies over the top; and

WHEREAS, The Naperville North Huskies boys soccer team finished their 2016 championship season with an impressive 21-2-3 record; and

WHEREAS, All of the 2016 Huskies team members contributed to an outstanding championship season, including Ali Khorfan, Andrew Klaiber, Michael Kornecki, Chris Sullivan, Alex Wang, James Zhang, Ben Goworowski, Jack Hill, Ian Guppy, Jack Bromagen, Vincent Roberts, Tim Corbett, George Ladas, Quinn Baenziger, Ty Konrad, Cesar Recendez, Ethan Harvey, Jason Barba, Mitch Konrad, Will Ritzmann, Ryan Aronson, Jack Barry, Matt Bilardello, Tommy Welch, Jason Hipp, Jacob Ridges, and Colin Iverson; and

WHEREAS, The 2016 Huskies soccer team was coached to victory by Head Coach Jim Konrad, Assistant Varsity Coach Steve Goletz, Junior Varsity Coaches Ryan Kuehne, Ammanda Simonetti, and Paul Becvar, Freshman Coaches Kermit Eby and Chach Aguilar, Athletic Director Bob Quinn, and Head Trainer Jason Majchrowski, and cheered on by all of the wonderful, supportive parents and fans; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the members of the Naperville North Huskies boys soccer team on winning the Illinois High School Class 3A State Championship and wish them great success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Naperville North Huskies boys soccer team players and coaches as an expression of our esteem and respect.
