1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives wish to recognize the 150th anniversary of
4 Makanda Masonic Lodge #434 and Cobden Masonic Lodge #466; and

5     WHEREAS, Makanda Lodge No. 434 Ancient Free and Accepted
6 Masons was chartered on October 4, 1865; and

7     WHEREAS, Cobden Lodge No. 466 Ancient Free and Accepted
8 Masons was chartered on October 3, 1866; and

9     WHEREAS, For 150 years, both lodges have been serving their
10 communities through charity and benevolence; therefore, be it

11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
12 NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
13 recognize the 150th anniversary of Makanda Masonic Lodge #434
14 and Cobden Masonic Lodge #466, and we wish them many more
15 successful years; and be it further

16     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
17 presented to the Cobden and Makanda Masonic lodges as an
18 expression of our esteem and respect.
