HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Adria East Mossing on the occasion of her installation as the 100th President of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI); and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing is a graduate of Northwestern University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English in 1983; she subsequently earned her Juris Doctor in 1988 from the DePaul University College of Law, where she served as a Managing Editor for the DePaul Law Review; and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing began her career at Hinshaw & Culbertson, quickly becoming one of only seven women equity partners in a national firm of over 400 lawyers; due to her great trial skills, she was recruited to join a plaintiff personal injury law firm, where she practiced for 5 years; and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing opened her own law firm in 2009; Jim Navarre joined the firm as a partner in 2011 and the law firm of Mossing & Navarre, LLC was formed; she represents the rights of injured parties in cases involving medical malpractice, birth injuries, construction accidents, motor vehicle and trucking accidents, and other catastrophic personal injuries; and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing is a member of the Federal Trial Bar and has been selected as a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates; she is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell; she has been named a Leading Lawyer in Illinois in the areas of plaintiff personal injury and medical malpractice; she has also been named as one of the Top Fifty Women Lawyers in Illinois and one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Illinois by Super Lawyers; and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing lives in the western suburbs with her husband, Matt, and their three children, Michael, Jack, and Catherine; and

WHEREAS, Adria Mossing will be sworn in as the Women's Bar Association of Illinois President at its Annual Installation Dinner on June 8, 2016; her theme for the year is "We are the WBAI" and her presidency will center on career development for women attorneys, featuring a series of seminars focusing on business development, negotiation skills, and building a law firm; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Adria East Mossing on the occasion of her installation as President of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois and wish her continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Adria Mossing as an expression of our esteem and respect.
